I decided to try freelance writing online after working as a newspaper copy editor for 15 years. As far as my writing experience, I wrote pop culture columns for my college newspaper and wrote reviews of history and pop culture books while working professionally as a copy editor.

I'm an avid reader of history books, specifically U.K. history through the 17th century. I took film studies in college and developed a critical eye for classic movies (1930s through 1970s -- my definition), often analyzing them in a historical or social context. Essentially, I tend to combine my love of classic films with my love of history, and my Suite 101 pieces likely will reflect this sensibility.
