Fiza Asar
Suite101.com Contributing Writer
I graduated in 2006 from Mills College (Oakland, California) majoring in International Relations. Moved to Pakistan and joined a non-proft The Citizens Foundation's marketing team where I traveled all over Pakistan to interview the children and their families whose lives are being affected by the NGO. I would convert these interviews into stories for magazines, annual reports, newsletters etc.
I also wrote freelance for Ohmynews and maintained my personal blogs in order to keep up with my writing passion. Currently I am managing and advising the communications and marketing of another NGO called dreamfly and waiting to start my Masters at SOAS in Global Media and Post-national Communication later this year. I am also working part-time as campaign developer and office coordinator at Women's International League for Peace and Freedom (WILPF) which has consultative status with UN.
