I am currently a student at Glendale Community College in Arizona, and plan on trasferring to Arizona State University. The major I am working on is Journalism and Mass Communications, with which I hope to go into the field of Broadast Journalism. My area of interest is sports, and more specifically basketball.
At GCC, I am the current editor and a contributing writer for the sports section for the GCC newspaper, The Voice. In this capacity, I've been able to broaden my knowledge of other sports, such as tennis, baseball, and track and field.
For three years, I have been employed as a public address announcer for All-Star Basketball League in Arizona as well as Mountain Ridge High School. Almost all of my PA work has been for basketball, although I have announced at other sporting events on occasion.
I write blog articles concering the NBA for the Sporting News and Foxsports, yet I try to keep the content of those articles at a certain level of professionalism.
One of the things I hope to do in this field is contribute in the written and spoken world of sports in Spanish, as I am fluent in that language.
