My name is Suz Hussey. I've been freelance writing and reviewing music for over twenty years. I also worked in nursing in either the hospital or doctor's offices. I worked with the Virginia state budget for many years crunching numbers and learning what politicians say and do. I even delivered meat to restaurants, so you can see, my experience is varied and has certainly been interesting! One day, my husband came home and said, 'let's move to Washington State, where I can work at Microsoft! So, now I live in Washington, transplanted from Virginia. (wow! that's a culture shock!) I have one daughter, who is now 21, who was 7 months pregnant with our grandson. A tragic auto accident took our little Jaden, however we were blessed to be with him at his birth, albeit sad to realize he was already with God. We are blessed that she is alright, mending daily both emotionally and although she's 2000 miles away, we talk daily. Although my husband is a dedicated and obsessed computer geek, he is my best friend and most loyal protector. I couldn't make it through my MS challenges without him. My passions run deep. I abhor injustice, bristle when I'm faced with the constant challenges of fighting MS for over 20 years, yet smile when I think of all I've done while having this disease. I write to live and live to write. My energies are fueled by my opinion pieces and wild fiction short stories. I am the production manager for an online writing collaborative, Kane, Ellison, Garcia & Company (KEGCO). This group of writers work on different fictional projects for publication. I look forward to hearing your feedback and suggestions on my column. Please subscribe and let me know what you want to read about! |
