Erica Bennett

Erica is a natural born awakener, an instrument that breathes life into the mind and evokes the spirit of curiosity. She started when she was just a baby, relentlessly crying for her pacifier and waking up the entire house.

These days she is a little older, much louder and can be found stimulating minds as she teaches high school English, serves as communications director for The Parker Marketing Group, writes and mentor and advocated for her favorite group of people - teenagers and young people. Her passion for communication and young people extends itself as a former leader for the youth and college division of the NAACP.

A journalist at heart, Erica has a strong editorial and newswriting background. She was selected as a 2009 media participant at the prestigious Washington Internship Program (Washington, D.C) this summer interning for WTTG Fox News.

Erica chooses to seek the path of a lifelong learner and enjoys opportunities of awakenment. If you can teach her something worthwhile, she will love you for life. Erica also loves her family, hubby, winning and big dreams. She graduated from Texas Christian University with a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education - English/Language Arts, minor in broadcast journalism and Walden University with Master's of Business Administration.
