My name is Sabrina, I'm 22 and I am currently a post-graduate student pursuing a MA in Comparative Literature at Goldsmith's University in London. My long term career goal is to successfully complete a MPhil/PhD and go on to be a HE Lecturer.
I am keenly interested in most areas of literature although I am especially interested in Feminist and Gothic texts; including the work of the Marquis De Sade, Angela Carter, Germaine Greer, Susan Faludi, Betty Friedan, Simone De Beauvoir, to name just a handful. Other favourite authors include Wilde, Austen, the Bronte's, Shelley, Stoker right up to more modern authors such as Orwell, Plath, Cunningham, Bannon and even Helen Fielding!
I am also very interested in Social Psychology and it's sub-divisions, especially Philosophy. During the course of my undergraduate degree I studied a wide range of social theories.
I recently completed a 15,000 word Dissertation entitled 'Intelligence, Minds and Machines: Is The Turing Test Valid?' - following a year of research. Although this project has come to an end I am still fascinated with both Alan Turing and the philosophy of mind which his work was based on.I am currently based in London, but am from Wiltshire.
