My background lies in healthcare. I completed my degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics in 2004 obtaining a distinction in my professional exams and went on to work as a Senior Dietitian in the NHS for 3 years. I covered many specialist areas including cardiology, stroke management, endocrinology, oncology, surgery, orthopaedics, mental health and women's health.
Following my hospital experience I worked as a freelance nutritionist addressing issues such as disordered eating, weight management and body dysmorphia. I have always had a client-centred approach, incorporating motivational techniques and cognitive behavioural therapy strategies in my practice.
Currently I am working with Neal's Yard Remedies, developing my knowledge of natural health and complementary therapy options and I am also undertaking studies in stress management and dance. I am a student at Laban, the UK's first music and dance conservatoire (having merged with Trinity College of Music in 2005) and the largest contemporary dance institution in Europe.
I have a lifelong passion for music and dance and am a great believer in how the Arts can truly enhance physical, emotional and mental well-being and enrich life. My ultimate goal is to draw upon my knowledge and skills in all of the above areas to promote good, holistic health for all.
