Elece Hollis is a freelance writer. She has contributed to fourteen books through Snapdragon Editorial Group with several Christian publishers, such as Cook Communications, Honor Books, Howard, Hallmark, Baker Books, Zondervan, Inspirio, and Thomas Nelson Books.
Her articles have been published in Home School Enrichment magazine, Homeschooling Today, Mature Living, Focus on the Family's Troubled With Ezine, Melody of the Heart Ezine, The OCHEC Informer, (Oklahoma's State Homeschooling magazine), and Joyful Noise magazine. Elece writes book reviews and articles for Homeschooling Today magazine and Christian Book Previews. She also writes about birdwatching for Garden and Hearth magazine. Elece writes a popular column called What's Good About Home.
Elece is the mother of seven children and thirteen grandchildren, so she is a pro at keeping kids active, engaged and learning. Elece loves children and has worked with churches, afterschool latchkey kids' programs, kid's clubs, (scouting and 4-H), libraries, and summer missions. Mrs. Hollis has been teaching in New Haven Home school for over twenty years. Still, she loves to teach as a guest in science programs for scouts, home schoolers, and public school children. Her favorite science presentation is a rock and fossil show. Elece also visits schools to teach creative writing on "I Love to Write Day."
