Trinidad, Beverly’s birthplace, is known mostly because of her sister island Tobago with its crystal clear waters and sandy beaches. Trinidad was not quite so blessed. She moved to California, settling near San Francisco area and fully took advantage of the culture and arts; easy to do when working for the entertainment industry.
A do-it-yourselfer by nature, in order to satisfy her creative side, she took on a project renovating an old 1954 bungalow and designing the landscape of the 13,000 sq ft yard. This resulted in an open space of many “rooms” that included a very large vegetable garden.
Travel has always been an important part of Beverly’s life and her wanderings have taken her to many parts of the world. There is nothing like experiencing another culture that opens one’s mind; struggling to communicate keeps you humble; the unknown rekindles feelings of childhood discoveries and being anonymous gives you wings.
Other wings spontaneously spring into action when she indulges in her favorite sports, flying down a snowy hillside on her board, or riding her BMW 650 CS on narrow, winding, Italian country roads. Her travels have temporarily halted in a beautiful land that has lived in her imagination for years and now fills her vision on a daily basis.
She however, misses that vegetable garden. Perhaps there will be another one very soon in her future.
Beverly holds a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education. She is currently teaching English and writing on a part-time basis to satiate the Italian hunger.
There is a whole new world to discover; a whole new life to experience. She is definitely blessed.
