My life has been an evolution of dreams -
As a teenager, growing up in Cleveland, Ohio I decided what I wanted to do more than anything was to eat, sleep, breathe and live theatre - not onstage but backstage. I worked backstage on my first community theatre production when I was fifteen. By the time I was thirty, I had reached the pinnacle of my technical theatre career as the Production Manager of the three theatre, fifty-two million dollar Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center. I've worked with dozens of famous people, done opera, ballet, musical theatre, classics, dramas and comedies- I figure I've had my hand in over five hundred different productions and loved every second of it.
Back in Cleveland, in my thirties, my dream evolved to a fascination with archiving and research and narrowed from an interest in researching aviation, to women in aviation (working for the International Women's Air and Space Museum) to the life and disappearance of Amelia Earhart, to the men in Amelia's life, especially her husband, George Palmer Putnam. I will finish his biography called A Hero's Husband, by early 2008.
Now my dreams are evolving into ones of a more spiritual nature. I have become fascinated by religions, especially the Gnostics, am totally fascinated with reincarnation and have become deeply involved practitioner of Mahyana Buddhism, for the past five years, having taken several Empowerments, including the Kalachakra Highest Yoga Tantric Empowerment with Ven. Kirti Tsenshab Rinpoche.
To be able to share these dreams and experiences in words with the world is extremely exciting.
