Dr. Ciarán O’Keeffe is a psychologist operating on science’s fringe, he's been involved in many unusual projects: the physiological effects of infrasound, ghost investigation of Hampton Court, an exorcism ‘training day’ & lie detecting for the movie ‘Spy Game.’ His life has been, at times, diverse (rugby captain, jazz pianist, language teacher, psychiatric nurse, gorilla campaigner). He is currently employed as a Research Associate at a French Université where he specialises in researching Parapsychology & Investigative Psychology. His paranormal research has focussed on testing mediums and psychics in the laboratory and also field-work examining haunting experiences. Additional research has included psychic criminology and ‘Christian’ parapsychology (i.e. exorcism, possession and stigmata).

Aside from academic research, which he has published and presented at numerous international conferences, Ciarán provides a sceptical voice to various ‘paranormal’ shows (e.g. Living TV’s 'Most Haunted', and 'Jane Goldman Investigates'). He is also author of a popular book on ghosts – GhostHunters: A guide to investigating the paranormal. Recently he has participated in a documentary with National Geographic examining the use of psychics in criminal investigations & provided accounts of his daily activities in order to inform the lead in a recent ITV paranormal drama about the afterlife.
