I am a medical research doctor with more than 20 years of experience studying disorders related to both skeletal muscle and the nervous system. After completing years and years of education, I decided to spend the bulk of my time immersed in research laboratories. This has taken place at both large academic medical centers and medical schools where I am a member of the teaching faculty. While my research has been focused on some of the more vexing diseases to face the population, I still take great pride in the energy expended training the next generation of research scientists.
When I am outside of the lab our family focuses on things such as do-it-yourself home repairs, gardening, an appreciation of nature and a love of animals.
