Dawn been involved in wildlife conservation and rehabilitation since the early 1980s. Her wildlife conservation and rehabilititation work has included:

  • Director of Animal Care at The Marine Mammal Center, the largest marine mammal rehabilitation facility in the world.
  • Developing and implementing the rehabilitation program at the California Wildlife Center.
  • Mediterranean Monk Seal Recovery in the Atlantic, Program Associate, working to protect one of the world's most endangered marine mammals.
  • Development of program to reduce the impact of introduced crayfish in the Brecks, part of East Anglia.
  • Visiting wildlife conservation and rehabilitation projects in North America, India, China, Africa and Europe.

Dawn's writing includes:
