David Michael Conner

David Michael Conner is a rare Washington, D.C. native. He worked for over a decade as a researcher, writer and editor for the Entertainment Industries Council, a nonprofit organization that encourages television and feature film writers to incorporate accurate depictions of health and social issues into their storylines. David currently serves as as managing editor and marketing and communications specialist for the Association of Community College Trustees. He has written features interviews with such notables as musician Tori Amos, actress Vanessa Williams, executive producer Dmitry Lipkin, and Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Director of Special Initiatives Hilary Pennington, among others. As a freelance editor, he has worked for the American Journal of Health Education and the Ambulatory Pediatrics Association. David holds a BA with honors in English, with a concentration in film and media studies, from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA. He is currently completing his Master of Fine Arts in creative writing at GMU.
