Teri BrownSuite101 Member I am an unschooler and am raising my children to be the same. They are homeschooled by an interest based learning method. As such, we as a family are involved in a multitude of projects: film making, nature based crafts, feildtrips all over our state, rock collecting, clowning, and baking among others. This not only helps our children learn but bonds us as a family. I am a free lance writer with both national and regional credits. I am a regular columnist for the Link: A Homeschooling newspaper and for Home Education Magazine's website. I have been published in Home Education Magazine, Blessed Mother, Gentle Spirit,iparenting.com, Writing Corner and The New Homemaker. I am located in Portland, Oregon. I enjoy gardening, my children, writing, reading and music. My favorite activity is spending time with my children doing the activities I have described above. I also love spending time online doing research for my various columns and my website. I have set high goals for myself this year and plan on making them happen. One of them is going to be creating a support network for artistic women with families. It is not only writing moms who need support but all women with artistic aspirations who have young ones under foot. |
