Lodging on the Top Floor of a Hotel
Spend Christmas or New Year's in a suite on the highest floor of a hotel. Several hotels have now designated these floors as "concierge or club level" offering special services and amenities to guests staying in these rooms.

Dee Dee (Ford) Smith has been a resident of the Midwest for all of her life. She was born and raised in a small town in eastern Michigan and is a graduate of Wilberforce University in southern Ohio. Shortly after college graduation, Dee Dee moved to Cincinnati but would later relocate back to Michigan settling in the Greater Detroit area. At present Dee Dee resides in Western Michigan.
Much of Dee Dee's early career was spent in the field of education. Serving as Academic/Regional Director for a nationwide vocational school, Dee Dee was responsible for satellite schools throughout the northeast USA. Through Dee Dee's business travels, she gained a great appreciation for the wonderful cities and communities throughout the northeast. Later she would accept a position as Regional Director for an international student exchange program. Her job duties included making student travel arrangements, gathering visitor information for students/parents, coordinating student events/activities, supervising students during their stay and overseeing a staff of community coordinators throughout the region.
Although Dee Dee enjoyed working in education, she'd always dreamed of being an entrepreneur. After moving to Western Michigan as a result of her husband's career, Dee Dee decided to pursue her dream of business ownership. It was while marketing one of her health/wellness products that she met a magazine publisher who asked her to write an article on women's health. To Dee Dee's surprise, a snippet from the article was later used in a press release. Since that time Dee Dee has grown as both an internet and freelance writer. She has been published on sports memorabilia, history, travel and golf sites. Dee Dee has also assisted various non-profits in web site design, computer literacy and internet marketing.
Dee Dee's other passions and interests include golfing, crocheting, natural health/wellness and sports (especially local and high school). Dee Dee and her husband take 3-4 golf getaways in the northeast each year. They've traveled throughout Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana, and have also visited Maryland, Wisconsin, Iowa and Missouri.
Another interesting tidbit about Dee Dee is that she has worn dreadlocks for over a decade, and they have now grown past her hips. In addition to travel articles, Dee Dee often writes about dreadlock styling and maintenance.
