So, you want to know about me, huh?? Guess so, or else you wouldn't have clicked your way here!!! Well, where to start??? I guess at the beginning. I was born in South Central Pennsylvania in the good ole year of 1974. That makes me 24 right now. After graduating high school in 1992, I went off to Penn State where I proceeded to change my major numerous times (like any good college student) and finally graduated in 1996. Right now I am working full-time, but not in a field related to my major. Go figure. Someday...just not today.
Anyways, during the 4 1/2 years I was in school, I lived every semester in (gasp!!!) a dorm. Every year but one started out with my living with a complete stranger. My freshman year was pure hell. Not only was I away from home for the first time, but I had to spend it living with my snobby, rich-girl roommate. My sophomore year was better, and I struck gold with the roommate of my junior year...we hit it off so well we stayed together the next year too. But, as usual, all good things must come to an end, and I spent the last semester of my college career living with, well, let's just call her young...I was 22; she was barely 19 and had scary obsessions with the Lion King and Alicia Silverstone.
Well, after graduation I returned home and finally, about 3 months ago, I left the 'nest' and moved out on my own. Well, not totally my own...I live with my (step) sister and a friend of hers. Also included in the household is my nearly 3 year-old nephew. He's full of energy, and on somedays, full of attitude. Not only do I live with my sis and her friend, I also work with them...so, we probably spend more time together than the average roommates.
My goal is to share my experience and 'wisdom' with those that may be new to/sick of the world of "Did I SAY you could borrow my CD? Did you eat my last pack of Ramen noodles? Can you turn down/off the stereo/TV so I can sleep/study/forget you exist!!!" You may think what I say makes me an outlandish freak or a certified genius...either way it's cool. I only want to provide some insight, and maybe a few laughs along the way...what you do is up to you.
