I have been very forunate to have been able to turn my interests into the rewarding career I have experienced thus far.

I graduated with honors from the Early Childhood Education program from Mohawk College. Throughout my studies, I received an award for Outstanding Achievement while completing one of the feild placements for the practical element of the program.

After college, I worked for three years as an E.C.E. Teacher in a child care setting, where I planned and implemented many different activities which fostered all areas of child development for young children of varying ages, as well as for children with special needs. Although working with children was incredibly rewarding, I also had a very serious interest in the wedding industry.

Proceeding much research, I opened a retail store named Sorelle Gifts Ltd., specializing in wedding essentials and special events. I had the great pleasure of assisting thousands of brides, as well as many families with their weddings and religious events. In that time, I received the great privilege of being honoured by the local newsaper in the feature article entitled Women in Business.

After five successful years in business, Sorelle Gifts Ltd. was transformed into www.finallythebride.com. Recognizing the needs of brides abroad rather than just locally, I developed a website to facilitate those needs by providing unique wedding products and services for the many brides and/or couples worldwide. Priding myself on excellent customer service, I now happily assist a new series of brides through the new and exciting realm of the internet.

Throughout each path in my career, I remained an avid writer. When I worked in child care my writing talents shone through byway of extensive observation and documentation of the children, especially those with special needs who required additional supports, such as speech pathologists, who in turn required specific information to properly support the child(ren) in need. However, while operating Sorelle Gifts, I was able to utilize my writing skills through the marketing needs of the storefront, including various newspaper articles and advertisements.

I feel I possess a love of diversity in not only one's career, but also in one's life. It is through my passion for writing that I am able to unify all of my diverse interests through the sharing of knowledge, experience and new ideas.
