How one teenager with Reactive Attachment Disorder reacted to loosing his grandmother, and his new friend. The dark side of adoption. 
Crystal Killion has worn many hats through the years: work-at-home mom, daycare provider, foster and adoptive parent, and homeschooler- just to name a few. She has learned the ins and outs of adoption having adopted 3 children through private adoption and from the public welfare system. For over 4 years she taught various classes in a homeschool co-op, and served 3 years as their director, writing and editing extensively for their newsletter. Recently, Crystal was asked to write for the local Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children (CASA) Program newsletter, prompted by an article here at Suite 101 which she wrote to highlight the important work that CASA does on behalf of foster children nationwide. In April 2008, she was awarded the Editor's Choice Award for her article on Post-Adoption Depression.
