Coral Andrews has always loved All Things Arts and Entertainment.

She started her writing career in the late 70’s discovering music, film and television genres A to Z.

Coral has also written for Performing Arts and Entertainment in Canada, and Canplay in addition to other Canadian publications Graffiti Magazine, Network Magazine, The Music Scene, Harrowsmith Magazine, and Celtic Heritage, while freelancing for many regional bi-weeklies.

She has hosted campus / community radio arts and entertainment magazine Coral FM for 30 years in the Waterloo Region. Coral FM won a Sonic Boom Award for Best Current Affairs Show in 2006, and 2007 for CKMS FM. She also won an award for 17 years of broadcasting at CKWR FM

Coral Concerts has presented Canadian talents Nash the Slash, Microbunny, Tamara Williamson, Bob Wiseman, and Tim Mech’s Peep Show.

From 2004 to 2008, Coral was / producer and publicist for Poor Tom Productions based in Kitchener Waterloo, Ontario.

Coral produced and promoted eight productions for Poor Tom including – The Glass Menagerie by Tennessee Williams, The Anorak by Adam Kelly, Not About Heroes by Stephen MacDonald, The Kindness of Strangers - featuring the world première of The Visit by Canadian playwright Kenneth J. Emberly and I Can’t Imagine Tomorrow by Tennessee Williams, Revelations, by Kenneth J. Emberly, Savage / Love by Sam Shepard, and Top Girls by Caryl Churchill, in addition to The Designated Mourner, by Wallace Shawn for Isinglass Theatre.

Coral played the role of Linda Loman in Arthur Miller’s Death of a Salesman for Poor Tom and the roles of Isabella Lucy Bird, and Joyce in Caryl Churchill’s Top Girls for Poor Tom Productions and Paradox Theatre.

Coral’s very eclectic, but always comes back to writing about her first love — The Theatre.

Coral finds the theatre fascinating from centre-stage, to the aisles, to its ever-changing audience as she pursues this continuing passion for playwrights – a passion comes from reviewing and interviewing many actors and actresses over the years and from her role as actor / producer for Poor Tom Productions. From Canada’s Michael Healey and George F. Walker, to America’s Tennessee Williams and Doug Wright, to England’s Caryl Churchill and Joe Orton, Coral discovers the playwright’s voice – a universal, prophetic voice she wants to share with you.
