After *ahem* many years of college, I’ve studied many subjects and, most importantly, learned to think for myself. Of everything I’ve studied, I find myself best educated in the areas of film and science. My degree is in earth science, with some additional graduate work in geology, but my first major was film. I didn’t want to make movies then, or during the three and a half years I lived in L.A., though I wrote screenplays all the time.

Film is my passion – classics, sci-fi, independent films, foreign, action, costume dramas, romances – anything, even bad movies! I’m a sucker for a good bad movie, along the lines of Battlefield Earth, The Day After Tomorrow, and The Core. Although I love reviews, I prefer to focus on themes within the story, especially movies featuring chicks who kick ass like the Terminator and Alien franchises, any female superhero or supervillain, and anything with Meryl Streep, Jodie Foster, or Angelina Jolie.
