Kristin Colangelo

I have a strong background in science - specifically zoology, human biology and chiropractic.

I owned and operated a family chiropractic practice for eight years and in that time, I discovered that a great passion of mine is writing and editing articles.

I sold my practice in order to concentrate on full-time study and education. I have taken classes in fiction writing, magazine writing and fact-checking for writing articles.

I am currently enrolled in UC-San Diego's Copyediting certificate program (expected graduation August 2009) as well as their Technical Communication certificate program (expected graduation May 2010). For my chiropractic license continuing education, I am working toward earning a sports medicine specialty.

I am building my portfolio by writing for Suite101 as well as creating and editing documents for organizations across the United States and Canada.

My career goal is two-fold: to become an editor for a publication and also to continue freelance writing in the science and health fields.
