My name is Michelle and I spend way too much time on the internet. I'm a Contributing Editor for Suite 101 and my topic is <HTML><A HREF="http://www.suite101.com/welcome.cfm/internet_playground"> The Internet Playground</A></HTML>. This shows exactly how I waste my time on the net.
I was introduced to the internet in college (late 80's to early 90's) before this www stuff became an obsession. Back then the thrill consisted of sending email messages to friends via a VAX system (totally user friendly - ha). And when I discovered the WWW in 1995 I became instantly hooked and somewhat addicted to it (how many of you could honestly say that you could do without this stuff for a week?). Now my obsession has tapered off a bit but I still enjoy finding new ways to have fun on the internet.
Currently I am a stay-at-home mom. I have two sons and am also the mother of three beagles. I graduated from the University of Cincinnati (Go Bearcats!) and although I have one or two degrees, I consider myself to be a career nomad with no where to go and nothing to do. Vive la part-time employment!
Currently I have interests in the WWW (especially web writing), beagles, babies, and figuring out how to make money legitimately by working from home (who doesn't?) or by hitting a big jackpot by playing games. It's an obsession; what else can I say?
