My skills and interests are broad and varied – a consequence of the fact that in my early 20s I couldn't figure out what I wanted to do, so I did a bit of everything – earning degrees in biology and neuroscience, as well as environmental design and architecture – and realized that I could keep my thumbs in a dozen pies simultaneously by learning and writing about all of the many topics that captivate both sides of my brain.
In 2004, I designed and launched my online magazine, which evolved into www.Filly.ca, The Chick Website, where I manage a staff of freelance writers, as well as write and edit articles about women's fashion trends, news, and how-to's, women's health, beauty, pregnancy, fitness, nutrition, dating and relationship advice, social trends, career development, travel, and movie and book reviews.
In keeping with my interest in health-promotion, wellness, fitness and nutrition, I am currently studying to become a Registered Holistic Nutritionist through the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition.
I relish this opportunity to reach out to Suite 101's diverse audience and be part of this eclectic, innovative community.
