A native of Washington state, Chris Hearne holds a bachelor's degree in Asia Studies from the University of Washington in Seattle. He has lived in Beijing for about 1.5 years and works at the Shambhala Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to economically and culturally sustainable development in Tibetan regions of China.
Chris is an avid reader and writer in his off time, and especially enjoys reading non-fiction about history and politics. He was runner-up in the IMUSE 2008 "China In My Eyes" essay contest and concentrates on writing about Asian affairs, Chinese history and travel.
