I am a Certified K-9 Obedience Trainer, and also volunteer as a Trainer/Handler for the Peace River K-9 Search and Rescue Association. Right now I am working my 6 year old mixed breed Tampa on the SAR Team. He is learning trailing, area search, and cadaver work.

I also work with the Humane Society of Sarasota County to help find homes for adoptable animals. Every week I bring an adoptable animal into 107.9 WSRZ Radio. We tell the animal's story on the air, and then a photo is posted on www.oldies108.com. This has been going on for five years now, and we have found homes for hundreds of animals!

I graduated from the University of South Carolina back in the 80s with a degree in Broadcasting. From there I landed a job as a TV News Anchor and Producer. I stayed with this career for over 12 years, and had the opportunity to meet and interview people such as Laura Bush, Walter Cronkite, Dan Rather, Lance Armstrong, and a number of others. I also hosted the Country Music Association Awards live from the Red Carpet in Nashville. In 1998 I won the National Gracie Allen Award for American Women in Radio and Television.

In 2001 I broke away from News Anchoring, and have been working since then as a Freelance Spokesperson. I am a regular guest host on Home Shopping Network, and have also landed roles in several movies. But training and helping the animals is my true passion.

Food has also been a big passion in my life, going back to my Grandfather who was an excellent cook and grill master. My brother and I have co-authored a tailgating cookbook called "Tailgating to Win", that is currently in publication.
