With a BM in Classical Music Performance, Engrid has spent the past ten years playing double bass in nationally and internationally acclaimed orchestras and ensembles from Reno, Nevada to Aspen, Colorado to Paris, France.
She recently graduated from the University of Nevada with an MA in French Literature after a year long stay in France where she taught English in a Parisian high school. Her MA thesis explored politics, race and music in WWII era Jazz-influenced literature. Currently, she teaches comparative literature classes at the college level.
Born and raised on the Nevada side of the Sierras, Engrid spends her free time doing headstands in yoga class or slogging through snow on winter hikes.
