Is it inhumane to declaw a cat? The debate rages on!

I work as a veterinary nurse in a busy veterinary hospital in Wichita, KS. I love my job but it can be difficult when the abuse cases come in. It is also difficult to treat patients that can't tell you where it hurts. My work is usually very rewarding. I love most of my patients and it makes me feel good that I've played a part in their health.
I take continuing education courses yearly to further my knowledge of veterinary nursing. I always enjoy these courses and look forward to them. We also get to learn about new products and sometimes get freebies which is way cool. I've finally accepted the fact that I'm a big nerd - I love school and books and learning new things.
My husband, Brenden, and I have been married for 9 years. We have a dog and two cats.
