Jim Lewis' handy-man credentials include a marriage license, a "honey-do" list he's been whittling away at for almost twenty years of marriage, years of professional home repair experience, untold hours at his dad's elbow in ages past helping around the house, several remodeled homes of his own, never enough money to pay for someone else to fix it, and the firmly entrenched attitude that it's "robbery" to pay some other guy an exorbitant rate to spend five minutes on simple household fixits. One of the biggest joys in his life is helping his son and daughter learn to fix things themselves. His biggest pride is that his lovely wife is both willing and able to get her beautiful self dirty changing the oil, painting the house, or better yet, finding the best clearance prices to save even MORE money (truth be told, she'd much rather be finding the clearance prices though, than getting dirty changing the oil, but she CAN do it!)
He has spent more than ten years as a pastor, and when he's not fixing up his "charming" old house, he is bouncing around the world as an Army Reserve Chaplain, giving his wife LOTS of practice on the household, and developing his writing career.
