Jaron Birkan was born in Johannesburg, South Africa and moved to the United States at the age of ten. He is currently attending the University of Illinois, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in English, where he also writes for the local weekly magazine, as well as contributing to various websites.
He is an aspiring journalist, specializing in music. Jaron's interests also spread to fiction writing, a genre he avidly pursues.
