Cassandra might be considered a jack of all trades. Starting out with a BA in Spanish with a minor in Environmental Studies, she decided to pursue a MS in Range and Wildlife Management in 1997. Her research project involved small mammals and reptiles in the Big Bend area of Texas.
In 2000, she took a job on the San Carlos Apache Nation, as a wildlife biologist. There she met her husband, Sam. They moved to the White Mountains, and there she cares for their 7-year-old-son, and teaches at the local community college.
Her interests include wildlife, gardening, sustainable living, solar energy, solar vehicles and ceramics.
