A life-long love of boating, both power and sail, led me to give up corporate life at the age of 40 to "mess about with boats . . . "

After a sojourn in Costa Rica and Key West, I've spent much of the last ten years teaching boating safety, seamanship and navigation, while cruising the Caribbean, the Bahamas, Mexico, Venezuela and the Florida Keys. Now living on the east coast of Florida, I've recently developed the first nationally approved online boating safety course at http:boatsafe.com.

I spend about 20 hours a week researching boating sites on the Internet for material and ideas for boating education programs. When away from the computer screen I can be found somewhere on

the water.

Safe Boating,

Capt. Matt
