Callum is about to graduate from Ithaca College's Roy H. Park School of Communications, completing a B.A. in Journalism with a minor in Sport Studies in three years. He is a member of the Park Scholar Program at IC, which covers tuition, room and board and includes a personal expense stipend. Callum is also a member of the National Communication Honor Society.
He has written for several newspapers in New York and Massachusetts, including The Daily News Tribune (Waltham, MA), The Medfield Press (Medfield, MA) and The Ithacan (Ithaca, NY). Last spring, Callum spent a semester in London where he wrote for the online newsletter of ESPN's North American Sports Network. He won the Boston Globe's Will McDonough Sportswriting Contest in 2005 and was the Sports and Recreation editor at iMPrint Magazine when it was named Best Online College Magazine by the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication in 2006.
Most of Callum's background is actually in television. He co-anchored a show called Sports Final that won Best Sportscast at the 2007 College Broadcasters' National Student Production Competition and was half of the tandem that won Best Sports Play-by-Play at the same event. Callum anchors ICTV's flagship news program, Newswatch 16, as well, earning a Region 1 Mark of Excellence Award from the Society of Professional Journalists in 2007.
Callum is happily engaged to the woman of his dreams and can't wait to tie the knot in August.
