Growing up, I learned from my mother a love for the written word. I would often try to get her attention while she was relaxing with a book. Now, I watch my toddler do the same thing with me, when she closes whatever I'm reading and says, "the end." It is my hope that someday she will also find the joy of getting lost in words.
