Bryan Parker

Bryan Parker has been a passionate and successful writer for 20 years. His enthusiasm and love for his craft are second to none. His love for sports, coupled with his love for writing, has given him a great outlet to share his talents. Sports journalism has been Bryan's "calling card" for almost a decade. Bryan has had the great honor to cover some of the biggest sporting events in the state of Alabama. Mr. Parker was the sports editor for his campus newspaper for 3 years and his work has also been featured on the front page of the former, Birmingham Post-Herald. In addition to print journalism, Bryan also has experience in front of the camera. In 2006 he hosted his very own sports program which aired on local television. In 2008 Bryan earned his B.S. in Mass Communication with emphasis in Journalism.

Sports provide the backbone for Bryan's writing, but over the years he has become very versatile in his work. Bryan believes a writer carries the gift to provide heart to the world...and heart to the reader. He has written many print articles dealing with anxiety, depression and even suicide. All writers have a voice, and Bryan uses his writing as a beacon of inspiration.

Bryan is also very keen to detail, and it shows in his writing. He believes that a hero can be found in a random face in the crowd, and also believes sports are much more than just irrelevant activities that can be written off like a current trend. His writing reflects the passion he has for life and his belief that athletics (for example), can serve as an important "healer" when the rest of the world is in turmoil.
