Amanda Hodges Weir, freelance and fiction writer, is a newcomer to Suite 101. She is a writer, teacher, artist and mother of one. Her interests vary from literature to horse racing.
Amanda holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Mississippi. Following the completion of her degree, she taught art in a rural elementary school in Central Louisiana.
Amanda now busies herself chasing after her eighteen month old daughter as she tries to stick everything in her mouth from dog food to furniture. In between sippy cup spills and food fights, Amanda works on her novel The Bottletree. Foliate Oak Literary Magazine and Poor Mojo's Almanac both published her story, “Souls of the Shoes”.
