Being born and raised in Germany with a family history of herbalism and holistic living, I learned to rely on nature's surplus, on friendship, faith, hope, and love which kept us alive during the hard times of post-war deprivation.
My life's interests have been music and art. Not only do I practice them, but I have been passing them on to others. Teaching has been my life's passion. I have taught many subject in my life to people of all ages, but the older I get, the more I concentrate on passing on the knowledge which I have collected in a lifelong search for life's and nature's secrets. Without denying the benefits of technology, I believe that it is possible to live in harmony with creation.
My Internet name is biogardener. The European term for "organic" is "biological," and "biogardener" is my multicultural way of expressing my convictions. I have become somewhat notorious in Winnipeg for refusing to give up my struggle to nurture a healthy environment in my own garden. That has led to the total destruction of my backyard on June 1, 1998.
In 1999, for the first time in my life, I started sharing my memories as a child refugee in the war-ravaged Europe of 1945 along with other stories of emotional turmoil and healing.
