Bill Scherer
Boxing Feature Writer
Bill Scherer has written for RingSports.com and TigerBoxing.com, enjoyed a stint as the Managing Editor for FightTube.tv and is a United States Amateur Boxing Association licensed trainer.
At one time or another Bill has freelanced as a public speaking coach, a guitar repairman, a pathetic excuse for a musician, volunteered as an adult literacy tutor, and has belonged to the following organizations: Toastmasters, the American Motorcycle Association, the Boxing Writers Association of America, the Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Club, the National Rifle Association, and the National Writer's Union.
Community/political causes include, Riverside Grassroots Redevelopment Abolitionists and Residents for Responsible Representation.
Of those organizations mentioned above that Bill no longer belongs to, such as the BWAA, and the NWU, he claims that he resigned because they were overrun with either bureaucracy, arbitrary decision making, a political agenda he could not knowingly be a party to, or some combination thereof.
Bill is just plain lousy at sitting still or keeping his mouth shut.
He also ran for city council and lost. He will run again.
