I live in Lancashire (UK) with my wife and young son and I work as a frustrated teacher in a disadvantaged nearby town.

I'm a sad academic and could happily study for the rest of my life. I have a degree in philosophy and a Masters in Criminology and Criminal Justice and I'm very interested in how the mind works and how people interact with each other.

I'm interested in current affairs, history and football, but my real passion is writing. For a long time I've written short stories and am currently researching for my second book which is a social commentary about modern society. I also write for at Helium and have also written on work-related issues and for football website, Eat Football. I am a lay preacher at my local church, Lumb Baptist Church and neighbouring churches.
