Many women are exploring their natural options to restore and bring balance to their bodies in preparation of conceiving.
Amy Kreydin, NBCRT, is a Board Certified Reflexologist, a DONA trained Birth Doula, and a freelance writer. She sits on the board of directors of the Massachusetts Association of Reflexology and hosts regional Reflexology meetups at her office. “I first fell in love with Reflexology in the late 1990’s after reading Eunice Ingham’s book Stories the Feet Can Tell.” Kreydin now teaches self-help Reflexology classes and continuing education workshops for bodyworkers in addition to having a full-time, private practice. As a Birth Doula Amy has attended hospital, birth center and home births where clients have incorporated natural childbirth techniques. Kreydin describes herself as a Reflexology Doula and promotes the researched benefits of Reflexology throughout pregnancy, labor and postpartum. A second generation hippie, Kreydin has an appreciation for all things “green” and environmentally responsible. From her vegetarian diet to her occupation as a natural health practitioner Amy enjoys writing from her experience. See her writing in Reflexology World Magazine (summer 2008, winter 2009), Body Sense Magazine – by the Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals (February 2008), Reflexology Across America – by the Reflexology Association of America (winter 2008), Natural Bloom (January 2006), Sole Scoop Newsletter – Kreydin’s own monthly newsletter since 2005, and Foot Notes Newsletter – by the Massachusetts Association of Reflexology, and as the Boston Wellness Examiner, and Boston Green Business Examiner.
