Since 1998 I've researched and written consumer education articles. Topics include identity theft, credit scores, credit cards, debt collection, bankruptcy, scam alerts, consumer protection laws, insurance information, health club memberships, debt reduction, internet security, car buying tips, consumer resources and general advice for consumers. From 1998 to 2001, I was the director of the Consumer Aid Education Center. In addition to writing articles, I helped people resolve disputes with companies and consumer reporting agencies.
I have worked in property and casualty insurance since 1996 and have written articles about various insurance topics. These topics include tips for buying car insurance, coverage on homeowners policies, auto insurance terminology, insurance credit scoring , what to do after a car accident, optional coverages, special personal property, additional equipment coverage, the best places to shop for insurance, earthquake insurance, flood insurance and personal umbrella policies.
Since 2005, I've done extensive research on cat care topics such as feline nutrition, flea control, spay/neuter, declawing, behavioral issues, UTI's, URI's, controlling litterbox odor, hairball management, shedding, weight control, the benefits of L-lysine, the best cat toys and more. I'm currently working on a series of cat care articles for Suite101.
