Barbara Abromitis, Ed.D. is a freelance writer and educational consultant, with degrees in reading education and educational psychology, and experience with teaching students of all ages, including those learning to be teachers themselves. She is the author or co-author of thirteen teacher resource books in reading and language arts instruction, as well as numerous articles and teacher tips in publications such as ChicagoParent and Creative Classroom, and a former columnist for Reading Today. Currently she works with school districts and universities on program development and program evaluation.
