Beth Lane is a freelance writer and native of Western New York. Following several years studying psychology in Rochester, Beth began writing for freelance markets and returned to college in pursuit of a degree in Communications. As a Communications major, she is interested in the media and it's impact on society. Beth was gifted with AD/HD, an inherited trait shared by both of her parents. She married another AD/HD'er and one of her three sons was gifted as well. Ms. Lane doesn't see AD/HD as a disability, but rather as a variation of normal human development with tremendous creative possibilities. She is very involved with educating people on the positive aspects of this condition as well as improving the self esteem of fellow "Edison Types." Ms. Lane is employed part time at a creative marketing firm and teaches community education courses in AD/HD advocacy and American sign language. She enjoys traveling, gardening and spending time outdoors with family and friends. Ms. Lane has contributed to a wide range of web publications including Wild Violet Literary Magazine and was a regular writer at Writers on the Loose for several years. |
