Terrie Murray is a writer from Portland, Oregon who has a passionate love of wild birds which has led her to a career in nature writing and has also gained her the nickname "The Bird Woman." Terrie's website, Aviella's Inkwell, (http://users.easystreet.com/timurray/index.htm) contains many samples of her writing, including a monthly column with advice on backyard birdwatching. Terrie, who was born in Southern California and grew up Southeastern Alaska, also has boundless love of travel. She has explored Europe, the Middle East, Canada, Mexico, and much of the United States. Top of her destination wish list? A birding trip to Trinidad and Tobago, followed closely by a return trip to Greece and a rail trip across Canada.
Terrie has been published in "WildBird Magazine," "The National Homeschool Journal," "Oregon Coast Magazine," "Legal Assistant Today," "The Northwest Birdwatcher" Portland Audubon's "The Warbler," Oregon Paralegal Association's "The Paragram," and the on-line e- zines "Writing for Dollars, " "AllMixedUp," "Moondance," and "The Emporium Gazette." She serves as travel editor and editorial assistant for "The Emporium Gazette." She recently contributed to and assisted with the research for "The FeederWatchers' Guide to Bird Feeding," a Cornell BirdLibrary reference book, published by HarperCollins in December, 2000.
