Adam Steed

Contributor

Adam Steed attended the University of Texas at Austin where he earned a Bachelor of Journalism. While there, he interned for two semesters at Texas Monthly Magazine for the Custom Publishing Department where he wrote and edited copy. At Texas Monthly and in Austin in general, he was exposed to a great deal of the political scene; both from the ground as a student and from up on high, with access to TM's political writers’ adventures on Capitol Hill.

In his college apartment's kitchen, Adam developed also a great love of organizing meals and preparing food. He maintains a blog entitled "Cooking, Ltd." through which he publishes recipes, instructions, and other cuisine-related stories centered upon the limited availability of exotic or truly quality ingredients in his immediate area, hence: Cooking, Ltd.

Although he has never published a story dealing with human spirituality or psychology for a periodical, Facebook.com has provided Adam with a place to work through the difficulties life presents in a logical fashion. He has tackled topics such as California's Proposition 8; the 2008 Presidential election; the significance of active psychology in the creation of pop culture; and race relations among Americans. With each, he was able to spark constructive, open dialog among friends and readers in the Facebook community.
