Angie's fiction has appeared in a wide variety of magazines, including Odyssey and Pedestal. Her story, "Living Inside the Box, " will be published in Farrago's Wainscott anthology, Crawlspace, due out this winter. She's a member of the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America as well as the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators.

Before becoming a freelance writer, Angie worked at NASA's Kennedy Space Center for over a decade, writing training and promotional videos, designing online training, and developing web sites. And before that, she worked at Virginia Tech for many years, writing, among other things, publications for the US Department of Energy. She also has experience writing proposals, grant applications, and press releases.

Her work has won a number of awards, including:

  • Telly Award,
  • Communicator Awards Crystal Award of Excellence in Writing and Marketing
  • Multimedia and Internet Training Gold Medal Award,
  • Several NASA Software Awards, and
  • NASA Silver Snoopy Award.

Angie has a Bachelor's degree from Virginia Tech and a Master's from Hollins College (now University). She has also participated in several workshops, including the Science Fiction Writers Workshop at the University of Kansas.
