I have always been a person with a curiosity of the world. Whether it is related to science, humanities, or the arts, I enjoy gaining whatever knowledge I could. Even more inspiring is the desire to share knowledge with others who seek to learn something new.
Regarding my career background, I had embarked on the journey to become a medical doctor. I earned my M.D. in 2006, worked as a physician in training for a year, and then accepted a job as a medical technology consultant. I collect extensive information on new medical tests and treatments and write detailed reports, which physicians and other healthcare staff use to make decisions about incorporating such developments into clinical practice.
Because I love to share knowledge as much as to acquire it, I have joined Suite101 to write articles for the Health section. This allows me to combine my interests in both medicine and writing. I love to talk about medicine with the lay public, from diseases and treatments to the doctor-patient relationship and the health care system. As the Feature Writer for General Medicine, I am here to share my knowledge with you.
