Anthony Capuano was born in in Mississauga, Ontario but was raised in the countryside northwest of Toronto most of his life, where he gained a love of the outdoors, hunting, and fishing. He was homeschooled his entire life, an education that gave him an opportunity to hone and nuture his craft of writing.
He attended Ryerson University's journalism school and worked for a short stint as a reporter at the Globe & Mail newspaper in Toronto, where he covered crime, political/labor protests and general city news.
As a freelancer, he's written for a wide range of Canadian and American publications including Ontario Out Of Doors, Outdoor Canada, Homeschooling Today and Liesureways, the official magazine of CAA. He was also a fishing writer for several local newspapers and magazines in his home county of Halton Hills.
At Suite101, Anthony's main topics are related to his passions; hunting and fishing. He has hunted and fished across Canada, the Eastern US and the Caribbean for everything from woodcock to moose and sunfish to marlin.
