I was born in a small town in Southeastern Wisconsin and have lived in Wisconsin my whole life. It's a comfortable sort of state with the nice harsh winters and quickly changing weather. Where else could you live where you're driving to work with the heat in your car on and then come home at night to turn on the air conditioning? Okay probably a lot of places, but this is where I call home.
I attended the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee for three and a half years majoring in computer science. Although while I was there a few classes that I had signed up for changed my life. I had always been interested in mythology so I took a classical myth class my second semester there. In that class I learned that a class on Norse mythology was being offered the following year. When the time came I enrolled in the class and had discovered the runes. This turned into more than a hobby for me and became more like a passion.
From that day on I have been studying the runes and Norse mythology by reading anything that I can get my hands on about either subject. I would not say that I am an expert in either field but my knowledge does go beyond the basics and I'm always on the outlook for a good discussion or more information. So I have decided to become an editor here at Suite101.com to share the knowledge and gain some new insight through discussion.
