Welcome to the fascinating world of historical myths! I hope you enjoy reading about these unusual - and sometimes bizarre - belief systems of past cultures as much as I enjoy researching and writing about them.

Delving into historical myths is a natural extension of my number one passion, archaeology. A couple of years ago I was fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to join an archaeological dig which was already underway right here in central New Jersey. The tens of thousands of artifacts we discovered within just one year of digging stimulated many discussions about the lifestyles, beliefs, and customs of both indigenous peoples and those who settled here from other countries. And that just began to crack the tip of the mythological iceberg!

Running a close second to my love of archaeology is my interest in paleontology. I have been fossil hunting many times in northeastern states, and have acquired a nice collection of land and water creature fossils from as far back as 500 million years ago. As a member of the New York Paleontological Society, I plan to expand my relatively small radius of fossil hunting expeditions with the expertise and guidance of fellow Society members.

Parallel to my top two interests is writing. I am a freelance writer contributing regularly to newspapers and magazines, and have recently begun fiction writing. To combine writing with historical research is, for me, a perfect union.

For me life is a never-ending opportunity to learn something new, and my list of interests far exceeds the time I have to pursue all of them! However, I do take courses at local colleges and New York University on almost any subject that interests me, as well as taking every chance I get to delve more deeply into my lifelong passions.

I hope you enjoy taking this journey with me into the intriguing world of historical myths. Please feel free to leave requests for future myth-related topics or any other messages on the message board.
